My current loan pony is looking for a new home. 10.2hh shetland gelding, ideal for a little one on LR or a more confident rider off. He has done local shows on the leadrein while with his owner, including leadrein jumping and ridden classes. Good to hack. Partially broken to drive, sure it would be quite easy to continue this if you wanted to. Easy to do. He's only been with us for a few months, but sadly due to circumstances beyond our control, he is looking for a new home to pamper and love him. Will be sad to see him go.
Although he is a typical shetland in many ways, and thinks that he's actually the biggest horse in the field, we haven't had any of the normal issues that these cheeky ponies can bring, such as escaping. He always stays where you leave him. He's good to catch, he can be a little shy of people in the field but seems more secure with a headcollar on. He'll stand around being cuddled and groomed quite happily. No lami/health issues. He's lived out with a mare and a gelding over the summer, but also stables fine. Comes with tack and a few rugs (although only needed if clipped).
Please message me if you think that you can offer him a new home, and I can pass you on to his owner, or arrange a viewing while he's still with us (experienced and loving homes only for this special boy) ?Based notts/derbys border but needs to be moved within a reasonable distance from the Notts area.
