Stylish, rust free, clean high specification Volkswagen Beetle. Some minor scratches to exterior and light scuffs to interior.
Originally purchased for my girlfriend to use on her run to work, however we've now moved within walking distance of her hospital and therefore the Bug is sadly surplus to requirements. The car starts up and drives perfectly and is extremely comfortable. I wouldn't have purchased it if it didn't (I'm not wrote into her life insurance).
The good bits;
The Beetle has a lot of factory fitted options, including;
Full leather interior with heated front seats (the heating works, get prepped for a toasty derriere this Winter!)
Radio & Working 10 Disk CD Multi-Changer in the boot.
Fully working electric sunroof.
Not ONE but TWO FLOWERS!, black or yellow/lime. Switch dependent on mood.
Drives great, it's comfortable, torquey and pulls smoothly through the gears.
Clutch feels great.
VERY low mileage for year
Extremely refined on the motorway, cracking seats and minimal noise.
The fuel cap release works. (One thing to check over whenever you see a Beetle, before you get to the petrol station and are left stumped!)
Rust free, solid bodywork.
MOT until April 2017 --> Feel free to check the MOT History using the Governments MOT Check service (Can't post links so you'll sadly have to Google!)
The log book is here and ready to be signed over, it's in my misses name as it's her car.
Well looked after throughout.
Bodywork and paint is clean for the age, nice deep shine when it's polished. Beautiful looking car as you can see from the pictures.
Spacious boot with a spare wheel.
Easy access to the rear seats, the fronts pop forward further than any other hatchback I've seen.
The bad bits (nothing major, just irritating);
EML is on. I have an OBD2 reader here, I can show you what it brings up, it's one code which relates to an earth lead. I've not had the time to go over it but I've been informed (by qualified mechanic) it's nothing to worry about and DOES NOT affect how the car drives at all. I can clear it for you on the day, but I'm an honest seller I'm not going to hide something from you.
Few scratches and small dents, nothing major but she is 16 years old now. I have to say it is very clean for the age.
Some of the interior switches could do with being replaced, namely the window switches. These are available from a breakers yard for peanuts, I may replace them myself prior to sale if I get time. If so, I'll delete this line.
The fuel gauge is intermittent, there's £20 in there at the minute.
Needs to be locked by key, however we have a new key fob and batteries ready to go for it which will be included in the sale.
Plastic pully to pop the bonnet open has gone missing, however the bonnet still opens there's just not a little pully cord to do so.
We currently have no space to keep the car at our new place so it's on a secure driveway at my girlfriends nans.
The car is advertised elsewhere.
