Ideal opportunity for either a group of friends who want to ride together or a mother /daughter share..
Registered part bred new forest gelding. Approx 15 hands, warmblood cross, 6 years old available for part loan.
Jacob was started late as he was a little slow to mature. He is backed, walk, trot and some canter work, he has seen a small jump but little experience done. He has been ridden by a novice and proved willing, sensible head on his shoulders when ridden. Snaffle mouth and likes to learn.
He isn’t a fan of being stabled but will stand around for hours being groomed etc without a fuss. He is currently field kept with access to a stable if needed.
He is not a beginners ride due to his lack of experience, would suit a teenager who wants something to bring on.... has never hacked alone but will work in the school or be on the yard alone...just haven’t tried to hack alone.... he’s done small quiet walks out in company with no issues... again he lacks experience in this area.
Jacob has been with us since he was a foal and can be typically stubborn of his breed but is never nasty.
Beau is a very handsome approx 14 hands traditional coloured gelding. He is 6 years old and been with us since a foal. He is broken, walk, trot, canter, some small jumping experience. He is currently ridden by a 13 year old girl at weekends and they get on wonderfully.
Beau can be lazy but can also work beautifully for an experienced rider. He has been known to buck but this is not common. He has had several children ride him and always been good for them. He has hacked alone and in company and didn’t heat up on an open space.
Beau is very loving inside and out of the stable, he is field kept but has a stable and is happy in or out, beau loves a pamper, he has a long mane, very thick tail and full feathers.
14 hands 16 year old cob gelding. Charlie has been there, done that, got the T shirt over the years. He loves to jump although he no longer has a suitable rider for this and his age/arthritis means he can’t do as much as I’m sure he would like.
Charlie will work very well in an outline when asked or he will poodle along. He hacks alone or in company, a recent bout of laminitis means he has been out of work for the majority of summer and is now being brought back in and enjoying his work again. Charlie is known to buck, this is something he has always done and something we are used to with him. He has been with us for several years and it’s a habit that has lessened but not gone away. Now he only does this in the occasional canter.
He will stand on the yard and be groomed, he currently lives out in a restricted paddock but is equally happy to be stabled.
