This is a multi stitch Singer DV 9117 electric sewing machine that has a slantomatic sewing action that brings the stitch area nearer to the front of the machine.
It is a free arm machine with a flat bed addition and it does straight, zig zag and fancy stitches by selecting from the dial.
This has been stored for 4 years after I bought it as a spare for my wife's machine but now it has to go as we expect to move.
It is a good and working machine but thread tension is quite important to get good stitching on the fancy styles and so I recommend that you experiment
on scrap material to get it right and get the cotton thread quality correct. The bobbin is wound in its position via the needle and the manual is online for free to view and download on the Singer web site ( the one in the picture is not correct!)
There are almost a complete set of accessories housed under the top cover.
It is metal machine in a plastic over case and is mid way between the old totally metal and plastic construction that is common today. The slantomatic concept is totally unique to Singer and is not made today.
Please read the manual before bidding or using.
