Beautiful mare with striking colouring. 16.3 hh 11 yr old registered Irish Sports Horse (blue passport). Well bred - sire is Cavalier Two For Joy, grandsire is renowned showjumping stallion Cavalier Royale. Imported from Ireland 2011.
Owned for 4 years from very green 7 year old. During this time we've done pleasure rides, beach ride, XC schooling, SJ clinics, bloodhound exercise & opening meet, unaffiliated SJ comps, unaffiliated and affiliated dressage comps.
Willow loves being worked and she tries really hard to please. She's a lovely mover with 3 good, correct, regular paces. Willow has 50 BD Points (Cavan Scotty). Currently competing at BD Novice level: has plenty of regular competiton experience at different venues. Placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in every BD comp this year and frequently placed within top 6 in 2015 BD comps. Really well behaved in warm up and competiton arena. Usually goes out on own for competitions and is so easy to handle (I also go alone): happy to stand on trailer munching hay. Training Elementary at home and in lessons.
Hacks in company and on own. Kept in very busy large village so seen lots of sights and sounds. Good with traffic (cars, vans, small lorries, motorcycles, push bikes) but lacks a bit of confidence with high sided, big vehicles.
Loves jumping and has a naturally scopy jump. Jumped 95 cm course in SJ training with ease and done a few local unaffiliated SJ comps up to 85cm. Lots of potential. When XC schooling she's happily jumped ditches, up and down banks, and through water.
Travels brilliantly in trailer and lorry, with and without company. Snaffle mouthed at all times, never strong.
Good to shoe and catch and handle in and out of the stable. She loves a bath. Stabled in winter, has lived out during summer happily. Currently turned out with a mare and gelding.
Fantastic, genuine horse with lots of potential. Ideal for someone competing regularly in dressage or as an all rounder. She's got a kind heart and isn't nasty in anyway. I'd describe her as naturally cautious with new experiences/sights; she takes confidence and reassurance from her rider on such occassions; which means she can be a bit looky and have the occassional spook. Not an issue for an experienced rider but not suitable for novice. She'll suit you if you are a confident, sympathetic rider who is kind but firm.
