A young lady with mandolin,
Oil on copper
19 cm x 15.5 cm (without frame), 25.5 cm x 22.5 cm (framed)
In a swept wooden frame
Indistinctly inscribed verso: Amy Robert (?)
Ready to hang
A young lady, leisurely draped on a chaise longue and holding an undecorated early mandolin with five courses, remarkably long neck, and low sound hole. A window opens out into a mountainous landscape.
The painting is technically well executed, with a perfectly smooth paint layer, covered in very fine and attractive craquelure.
