Very unusual and unique framed embroidery entitled "The Minster" in attractive wooden frame with hand-chased copper corner pieces and title plaque in Arts and Crafts style. Believed to be an amateur piece influenced by the Glasgow School. The embroidery is in need of major restoration. A suitable project for a keen embroiderer. (The stitches are simple not advanced.)
Size: 45"W x 14"H.
The text on the work reads:
"A forest pool within a leafy glade hedged round by purple iris and adorned with radiant lilies clad in vesture white fit emblem of the fair abode of truth"
