Max is a fully registered with WPCS Section B bay gelding who is totally unspoilt and ready to bring on. He is a lovely well mannered pony who is great to handle and has never tried to bite or kick, he ties up & stands to be groomed and have his feet done and is upto date with worming, farrier (he is unshod but gets trimmed) and vaccinations.
Considering his age and lack of experience he is remarkably good, he had never left his yard where he had been bred or been stabled before he came to us but he now brings himself in to his own stable at night and is in a good routine. He lived out in summer with us and has been stabled nightly since the end of September.
He has begun his education and is now ready to be backed which my daughter was going to do but unfortunately she has just been diagnosed with a joint problem and have been advised by the GP not to ride for a few months so is unable to start backing Max. However he has taken everything we have done with him so far in his stride and is a confident, quick learner. He has had full tack on, been lunged, he has been worked over poles, been led out in hand on hacks with other horses, loaded and travelled well in a 7.5t wagon with other horses and alone.
He is full of character and has a flashy "look at me” attitude and will undoubtably excel in the show ring as he moves beautifully. He is a very quick learner and I have no doubt will progress rapidly under saddle. Stands to be groomed, pulled and plaited.
Max is clean limbed and ready to go. Turns out in all kinds of company and no matter the time of day or size of field he always comes to call. He would be a perfect winter project for someone to bring on ready for leadrein next year.
Purely due to his age I am saying no novices. This is a very sad sale as my intention was to have him backed and show him ourselves next season under saddle but he is now being wasted as I am unable to do this therefore I am open to reasonable offers, a 10* home is very important to me, I would love to be able to keep in touch and see how he progresses.
