Honey is a 12.2, 13 year old Section B second pony.
We have had her on loan this year. Her owner’s daughter has lost interest in ponies, so we need to find her a new home. She was purchased by her owner as a lead rein pony but she has proved to be far more than that!
Honey is a delightful, fun second pony, a real PC pony. Turns her hoof to anything - PC rallies, eventing camp, PC camp, show jumping (currently doing 70/75 courses, I think she will go on to do more - we have just started doing 80 courses), dressage, combined training, and her first hunter trial. She has picked up a lot of rosettes this year and has proved extremely versatile. Very fast against the clock, turns on a sixpence, and would probably be great at mounted games. Apparently when younger she did a lot of in hand showing.
Excellent manners, loves a fuss, good to trim (is barefoot, good hooves), clip, bathe, groom, stands calmly for vet and dentist. When we got her, she went through a phase of taking a while to load but now she walks straight on and travels well. Jabs are right up to date, teeth done in summer and recently checked.
Bombproof in traffic, not fazed by lorries or tractors. Out hacking in a group she can get excited and hop about though.
Not a novice ride as she is forward, but will make a great second pony for a child who wants to get out there and have fun. She has given us a great deal of enjoyment. Always ridden in a snaffle.
Had mild lami last year (went within a couple of days) but we have managed her carefully since we’ve had her on loan, and have had no problems.
Two weekends ago she had a double clear at LandS Arena Eventing 70cm at Dallas Burston 13/11. (Would have been placed if rider hadn't got lost!) and 5th in the 75cm at NSEA qualifiers, Addington 12/11.
Last month she won the 60cm Arena Eventing at Quainton, and came 3rd in the 70cm Unaffiliated SJ there. She has just started doing 80cm courses, including a Dengie qualifier.
Honey is a really fun and loveable pony who deserves a home where she can continue to go out and about, and get fussed a lot.
£1900 ONO to include some tack and rugs. More rugs (mostly new) available separately.
