Up for grabs is
a wonderful example of Takamine's iconic En-10 made in Japan in 1989, with the original Takamine hard shell case ! This is the rare non cutaway version of this amazing electro acoustic Jap built high quality guitar! She has the earlier pre amp with the slider type preamp, that is so well thought of amplified.I have had this guitar properly sorted. It has been played and gigged a great deal as good guitars tend to be,so the frets were showing their age.The first 6 frets have just been replaced by renowned guitar builder Gary Hearn, who also stoned the rest of the frets being to suite. The action is a perfect tad under 3mm at the 12th fret. There is loads left on the bone split saddles for further lowering of the action over the next 27 years ! Also has a bone nut, solid Cedar top, solid mahogany back and sides, and a rosewood neck and bridge. This guitar plays wonderfully well, and sounds sweet too, very woody with great bass response, sweet treble, and mid tones. These were used in the 80's and 90's by just about every top musician on both sides of the pond because they set a new standard for a live performance guitar ! New custom lite strings
11/52'w just fitted ,new duracell 9v battery fitted. The truss rod is free moving and has not be cranked tight to achieve a lower play action. The guitar has just been polished with expensive guitar polish to give the vintage tonewoods a treat and make it look it's best for a potential new owner. The guitar has mojo in spades, the original satin finish has been buffed and worn to a shine in places due to years of gigging. There is one scratch to the cedar top visible in the photo. But there are,and have been no repairs or structural issues to this cool guitar I I will regret parting with this wonderful guitar, but have to downsize as moving in the spring.I would consider a trade with an Ovation 1651 legend, but no other Ovations please !
