Very sad sale... 13hh rising 5 year old gelding. Welsh Section B. This pony would make a lovely 2nd pony for a confident rider. He always tries his best to please and he has bags of potential. He needs a confident rider to further his education as he lacks confidence especially when schooled indoors and can be defiant in a cheeky way, not nasty. Nothing a stronger rider couldn't handle. A super project, he's brilliant at jumping and has a tremendous scopey jump and the ability to turn on a sixpence, he also appears to love XC. Good to hack out alone or with others, suspect he'd enjoy hunting but not tried as not my daughters thing. Bare foot so only requires a trim, excellent with farrier, dentist, vet. He ties up etc. Happy to stand and be fussed over and groomed. Used to dogs, farm machinery and being on a busy yard. Very honest and kind pony. Superb on the ground. No cribbing, wind sucking, never had laminitis or sweet itch. Good to catch, always first to the gate. Loves attention and is known for being the most affectionate pony on the yard. . . Can be stabled and preferably given daily turn out. 5* home only wanted for this cheeky chappy. Been with us for 8 months having come in to a superb charity due to being abandoned. Fully assessed when he came in with 2-3 others, all of which were fine and healthy and are doing well in their new competition homes, he's completed 2 weeks at Pony Camp, taken part in ShowJumping Clinics, been out to a show and behaved impeccably, he has no stable issues. He can throw the odd buck under the saddle but not huge and not frequent. He needs a lighter rider (confident child, teenager or small adult) and will still need further work to develop his muscle strength. (I'd sooner be 100% honest) up to date with dentist, farrier, recently had back physio, vaccinations and worming. Such a sad and reluctant sale of our very loving pony ..... Sensible offers only ?? very upsetting time so he must be cared for and treated well ?? For us the home is more important for our gorgeous boy than price and to see how he progresses in the future.
