Advert Description

MOT till February 2017, road taxed.
Working Kenwood CD player.
Lately car started losing power
but garage could not find the fault.
If the following change the power loss problem may be resolved (maybe!):
Plugs, air filter, rocker cover gasket, oil filter and oil.
Car was just checked before advertising for the next MOT coming up in February 2017. To pass next MOT these are to be fixed:
-seat belt locking mechanism does not secure or release nearside rear
-seat belt anchorage prescribed area is excessively corroded nearside front
-seat belt anchorage prescribed area is excessively corroded offside front
-windscreen wiper does not clear windscreen effectively offside front
-subframe mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded nearside rear
-brake pipe inadequately supported nearside rear
-fuel cap does not fasten securely
(I am not sure what they mean by that!)
-front passenger door can not be opened from outside
Advisory notes:
-brake pipe slightly corroded offside rear
-both front tyres worn on inner edge (front tyres changed 3 years ago-Yokohama tyres put on!)
-slight brake judder
Car survived one theft and three vandalism incidents and driver's door got broken but still locks. People tried to steal it again but car cannot be stolen anymore owing to reason that I can tell you when you will buy it.
Both doors ideally need replacement, one is difficult to open from outside and driver's door is open at the top from theft/vandalism incidents.
The price asked is more for parts in the car, several
parts (receipts can be shown), and for being one of the last '80s Fiestas. This car is now 27 years old and I had it for 12 years and every other year I was fixing something.
Car never let me down in long journeys, just this summer it crossed up and down Wales and Dorset and all these years everyone was admiring 'how it is still going!'. I will soon add the whole history of fixed parts. Photos taken today with frost.
Please note this car was advertised for £1400 on ebay as collectable. I know I will regret selling it. If you are after a 'collectable' fiesta be aware of the low mileage advertised for these old cars. The meter has only 5 digits and the mileage went to zero when the car passed 100,000 miles. Thus do not believe what they will say about low mileage unless you see a whole history of MOTs.
Thank you for looking and any questions please contact me.
If you want to buy it and do not like butterflies I will take them off for you.
If you are a mechanic and you think you can give the TLC it needs and then sell it as 'collectable' I
would also like to hear from you. I may end up buying it back from you!
