2 year old jet black male cat named Eli in need of new loving home. Got when he was 12 weeks old to be a companion for our older black cat. While they get on well and he's much loved, with 2 young children Eli has become very timid and will only venture to us once the children are in bed. That's despite he grew up with our kids and had no experiences where a child may of hurt him. We've been vigilant in teaching our girls to treat animals with love and respect. So being timid must be just a personality trait! Despite his timid nature he gets on well with other cats, and is very affectionate once you take the time to get his trust. He also has a mischievous streak! He likes human food and will comically pinch any left overs. We combat this by offering catnip or cat treats at tea time. He is a vocal soul and will let you know right away if he's trapped in a room, can't get to his litter tray etc. Hes only just started venturing outside with his older sibling and getting a feel for the great outdoors.
It breaks my heart to say we honestly think it's not fair he only feels able to come out of hiding in the evenings because of our young kids. Putting his best interests first as cat lovers we think he'd better suit a family with older kids who aren't running and jumping about or an older couple/single person. He's a sensitive wee boy and just wants some TLC.
He is microchipped, neutered and fully vaccinated up to date.
Will only let go to a good home who can show proof they are cat lovers because I'm afraid of selling to someone who may be deceitful as black cats are often bought to abuse due to the stigma.
Collection only from Bolton Greater Manchester as we don't drive.
Will come with some cat food, some litter and his own bowls
