Three hives, each one has:
open mesh floor
bees kept on brood and a half
super (left in place for feeding if needed)
They all have winter insulation on at the moment, wrapped with chicken wire to keep woodpeckers out.
Two of the hives have wooden stands, one is on milk crates, as shown.
Pretty sure that all of the boxes are less than 3 years old.
The hives in the first two photographs are very heavy they are going into winter full, I like to put the bees into winter with a lot of stores. The third has a good feed store, but it isn't full.
