This advert is located in and around Olney, London

Advert Description

Oxfam Books & Music Olney 1973. Completely revised by Joseph E. Smith, Army Materiel Command." A country by country gazeteer of world small arms production. "This the tenth edition of 'Small Arms of the World' clearly indicates that new small arms continue to appear all over the globe. Of particular interest are new developments in the Peoples Republic of China, (mainland China). In the past, that country had mostly utilised Soviet designed material or slight modifications thereof. But a definite new tack in design has appeared. The Soviets, for their part, continue to produce modification upon modification of basic designs; and the Czechs have produced some brand new designs. In the Western world most of the activity in the development of military weapons appears to be in the realm of commercial firms, with West Germany leading the list. Much development in both East and West seems to be aimed at the 'third World' export market since the weapons developed are frequently offered in a multiplicity of calibers." The cover is faded and the edges worn and bumped. Some tanning to the early pages. This is a well read copy, but still in good condition. See Oxfam website for delivery information
