Oxfam Bookshop Harrogate A scarce and beautiful work by this acclaimed Scottish artist and sculptor (1865-1939), signed and numbered by him. Pale brown cloth, slightly edgeworn and sunned, gilt stamped titles to front.Tan leather spine very scuffed, fore-edge splitting top and bottom, lower 5cm missing but gilt titles still legible. Uncut page edges browned, scattered foxing but otherwise internally unmarked. Number 26 of a limited edition of 50 copies, printed on thick art paper with tissue guards interleaved. Twenty copperplate plates "mostly of crafts that are passing", plus smaller pen-and-ink drawings of old tombstones. Each plate followed by 2pp of text, plus Prefatory Note and etched title page.
