Epiphone Chet Atkins solid-body guitar.

Features : 8 Cherry Sunburst, soundhole. I think it was made in 1994. ADVICE: if you want to buy one, buy it SECOND HAND, because the newer models are from less quality. The old (better) ones have the signature of Chet one the head next to the Epiphone logo. The new models have the signature on the body. ALSO: The gold plated finish will come off quickly with the newer models. It seems that Epiphone guitars are tend to lose there quality if a model gets popular and sells well. So take my advice and buy the more sturdy old model second hand. Only 2 controls and the tone control is terrible. Do not use it or only half up. No accessoires.

Sound : 8 For folk, jazz (yes!!!)and live work it is good. ADVICE: I have tried almost 20 diffrent strings and the BEST one to use with this guitar is Martin 80/20 Bronze .010-.047 Extra Light. You will notice the diffrence for 100 % in playability and sound, believe me!!! Using the tone knob let it sound too bright sometimes.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8 The wood of this older model is very good and almost perfect. My friend bought a newer model and the gold plated finish is already coming of. High quality finish. It is a neck-set, so do not put it near warmth/ sun or AC. I have good experiences with guitars on a stand in the sleeping room.

Reliability/Durability : 10 AGAIN: The finish/ hardware of this OLDER model will last. Will withstand live playing, no backup need. Strap buttons are solid. You can depend on this guitar if you follow my advices. Very strong guitar.Solid like a MF.
