Medieval Bell / Round Pavillion - Jousting Tent

Details

Type:   Private Advert
Price:   £600

Description

Up for sale is our Medieval round pavillion Jousting Tent! This was supplied by PAST TENTS LTD - a "purveyor or fine tents"

We bought this for our garden instead of a bog standard green marquee and have also used it once for camping - created quite a stir! It was new this June and is in excellent as new condition. With the two colours (black and yellow), ground sheet and vat, we paid nearly £1000 so this is a complete bargain.

Overall height is about 9' 6" - wall height 6' 3" and about base diameter is 10' 6".

Includes ground sheet, bags, pegs etc.

The photograph is from Past Tents website - the tent I am selling is the Yellow/Black Round Bell Tent

Buyer to collect - based just off the A428 outside of Cambridge.

If using for reinactments it is suitable for early medieval to 18th century.

The following is copied from their website

Add an air of authenticity to your outdoor activities, historical re-enactments, theatre, television, film sets, or a different dimension to your barbeques, exhibitions and promotions with our beautiful reproduction tents.

Past Tents make high quality tentage to suit any period, specializing in Late Medieval, Napoleonic and English or American Civil War designs.
Our patterns have been produced after considerable research and reference to period drawings and documentary evidence. All tents are made from the highest quality Grade A twelve and fourteen ounce Cotton Duck canvasses which are treated to be both water and rot resistant. All canvasses are dyed to be colourfast and Flame retardant canvas is also available at an additional cost to the purchase price.
Each tent comes with ropes, hand cleft ash pegs, spars, support poles and finials.
Based on an innovative design that eliminates the use of wall poles, the Past Tents pavilions can be erected in a fraction of the time needed for a conventional tent, the "cartwheel" support frame can be assembled in minutes, and when dismantled, can be stored in a surprisingly small spar bag.

Even the largest Pavilion can be transported by car, with the poles on the roof and the tent in the trunk!
With exception to our large pavilion range, Past Tents sews its walls directly to its roof sections. Our customers have found this to be an advantage, the tentage retains heat more readily, and is speedier to erect. The round Pavilions have a full four panel overlap across the arched doorway, please contact Past Tents if your requirements differ.
