50 foot Narrowboat with SecureMooring & Parking
Built in 2004 by Dave Clarke to 10:6:5mm steel specs.(Calder Valley Marine) Fit out by owner. The vessel has been out of the water for bottom blacking and anodes (in August 2007). Current Boat Safety Certificate.
FIT OUT: The fit out is in T&G primed, undercoated and white silk finish. The whole of the hull has been spray foam insulated prior to lining out. The boat is designed to suit two people living aboard/extended cruising and briefly comprises---Saloon 10ft; Galley 8 ft; Shower room/WC; 2 Full height wardrobes 3 ft wide; Bedroom 8ft; Engine bay 4ft; rear deck 3ft. Dimensions are approximate. Foredeck with a stainless steel 150 gal. water tank built in; Cleghorn Waring accumulator tank. Front doors with 2 store steps down to the saloon. THE SALOON: Is open plan with a Willow Multi-fuel Stove on a black marble hearth with quarry tiled sides.
THE GALLEY: Has a gas cooker, fridge and freezer. There is a wall mounted Morco gas water heater, which supplies the hot water system along with the calorifier.
THE SHOWER ROOM: Has a shower, hand wash basin and a Thetford C200s Cassette toilet plumbed into the water system for flushing.
THE BEDROOM: Has a 4ft x 6ft. double bed. There are storage cupboards above; and under bed storage as well.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: The engine is a Barrus Shire 1000. The engine cooling is via a 14 gallon calorifier for domestic hot water.
SERVICES:
WATER: 150 gallon tank in the bow, water filter, pressure pump and a Cleghorn Waring accululator tank.
GAS: Two bottles, supplying the a gas cooker; Morco water heater; Alde 2928 Comfort boiler, supplying hot water and radiators.
ELECTRICS: The major appliances can be 12v or 240v A.C. and lights are 12v. Power is generated at 12v by the main engine. And has 4 x 110 amp hour domestic batteries and 1 x 110 amp hour starter battery, which are charged from the engine or from shore power through an onboard charger. A Sterling 1800w pure sine wave inverter changes the 12v D.C. to 240 v A.C. for a constant power supply.
GENERAL: Much thought has been given to the use of space and storage. And has been designed for comfort when moored. With convenience and ease of handling when on the move.
