MURVI MORELLO

This wonderful motorhome has been beautifully made by the murvi company. Murvi have a long history of building high quality panel van conversions (campers) and offer customers a great deal of control over the final specification of their purchase. Therefore, no two Murvi's are the same. Once an order is placed, customers will often visit the factory in Ivybridge, Devon, to view production of their dream motorhome. Aimed at the luxury end of the market, a Murvi won't come cheap, yet Murvi's order books remain healthy and you may have to wait several months for delivery

The Basics

The Murvi Morello is extremely well screwed together, with all fixtures and fixings sturdily made. Unlike quite a few motorhomes where you?ll find a symphony of interior rattles while on the move, you won?t hear so much as a squeak from this vehicle.

Practicalities

The easy-to-operate heating and electrical controls are all conveniently placed together on the dividing wall between the washroom and lounge. The fresh water gauge is situated under the kitchen wall cupboards alongside a 230v switched socket and you?ll be pleased to find a secure lockable storage unit hidden under the passenger?s seat. The fresh water tank holds a generous 60-litres and the vented gas locker, placed under the washroom basin, holds two 6 or 7 kg cylinders. Easy access to this and the fresh water filler is provided via by the rear doors. Insulation: 30-40mm Rock wool in roof, 9mm MDF floor, carpet trimmed side walls. Blinds/Curtains: Integral Seitz blinds and fly screens. Electrics: 3 x 13amp sockets, 2 x 12volt sockets, Zig controller and leisure battery as well as vehicle battery. Lighting: Lots. Cooking: Smev four-burner hob, grill and oven (gas). Refrigerator: Electrolux 3 way (12v, mains, gas) Sink and drainer: Stainless steel. Water system: Fresh water 75 litres, waste water 35 litres.

Living areas

Fixtures and fittings are of a high quality in the Morello, with the fitted carpet extending through the living quarters right up into the cabin. The walls, ceiling and inside of the overhead lockers are covered by carpet, helping with noise reduction. Seating throughout the Morello is supremely comfortable with blown air heating to keep you warm anytime of the day as required.

The kitchen and washroom are placed at the rear - you could describe both as being rather compact but has everything you need. Night time illumination is excellent with no fewer than nine well-positioned lights. Storage is plentiful with three-lined lockers placed above a sofa that hides bedding storage space beneath.

There is also a portable TV placed on the nearside of the overcab storage compartment. You?ll find it easy to organise the lounge into a decent dining area for four and although the Morello comes equipped with a pedestal swivelling table, a freestanding table can be offered instead. Ventilation comes courtesy of a roof light and sliding windows, all covered by fly screens.

Cooking, Sleeping, Washing area

Although the kitchen is compact, you?ll find most of what you need. An electronically ignited Smev four-burner hob, grill and gas oven unit is fitted as standard and an extractor fan is installed above. A 60-litre 3way fridge is placed underneath the oven and the stainless steel sink and drainer is on the nearside. Hot and cold water system you?ll be pleased to find that there are large cupboards for the storage of food and you?ll like the fact that the kitchen floor has an easy to clean vinyl surface.

Night time

Arranging the bed and sleeping area is simplicity itself. Firstly, you just pull the rock-n-roll bed towards the sliding side entrance door, then hold the backrest up, lift up the rear seat squab, lay that down and hey presto, there you have a reasonably-sized bed for two. Now you can relax and listen to your favourite CD while lying in bed which can be switched on and off via the light panel just above your head no getting out of bed to turn of lights or cd players.

Shower room/toilet

Despite the room?s small size, you still get a proper-sized basin, a shower and the industry standard swivel c2 electric flush cassette toilet made by Thetford. The storage cupboards placed overhead are of a decent size, too.
