Description
Highly modified Yamaha Pacifica guitar.
This started out as a 112 (alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard) which I purchased in the mid nineties, it has been in the process of being refinished for several years. The original body finish was natural alder which I sanded off, dyed the alder body with a combination of walnut and red mahogony dyes and finished in tung oil. It looks amazing. The pickups have been changed out for:
Dimarzio virtual PAF in the lead position
Kent Armstrong STH-1 in the middle
Seymour Duncan APS-1 in the neck The wiring has been redone to include screened wire throughout, the 5 way switch has been changed for a quality 5 way Oak Grigsby.
The pickup cavity has been screened with copper tape.
The original jack plug has been replaced.
The tone cap is an orange drop sprague. The tuners have been replaced with genuine Schaller units. The bridge saddles, a weak point on the original guitar, have been replaced with graph tech string saver saddles. I will include the right size allen key for the saddles. The nut is the original. I have cut a graph tech string saver nut, however the e to e string spacing is a mm or so wider. I will include this with the guitar if you want to try it and see if you can adjust to using it . The body shows the signs of having been played at home, no major dinks or nicks. This guitar has never been gigged. Happy to post internationally.
