This classic sentimental story concerns an American boy Cedric, who at an early age finds that he is the sole heir to a British Earldom. He and his widowed mother leave New York for England. There, Cedric separated from his mother, joins the bitter and selfish old Earl at Dorincourt Castle.
The Earl intends to teach his grandson to become an aristocrat, but Cedric inadvertently teaches the Earl that an aristocrat should practice compassion and social justice towards humans in his care. Through Cedric's example, the old Earl becomes the kind and good man Cedric always believed him to be.
The perfect gift for any book lover and a rare opportunity to purchase a 100 year old classic.
