An Original David Hockney poster for the exhibition of his paintings and drawings at the Riverside Studios, Hammersmith in the summer of 1981. The poster was printed in England (Courtesy Petersburg Press). I do not know how many were printed but suspect that it was quite a small run. I believe that it was used as a promotional tool and as an invitation to the private view.
Condition is reasonable - uncirculated and folded, as issued. It has been preserved in a portfolio for the past 30 years. There is some handling creasing, wiggling, light finger marking and the odd minor dent. There is slight weakness at some of the intersections of the folds and a little bit of staining. In the white areas there is some slightly dirty scuffing.
Size: 39 x 27 inches - will be refolded for despatch
This is a printed poster, not an art print, some people prefer these posters as you not only get the picture but you get detailed wording etc. on it too.
