The house was built in the mid-70's and served first as a top-notch restaurant attracting people from all over the Riviera, the original owner had plans to add a second storey to the house and to offer accommodation as well, but life had different plans for him.
Later on the house served as Bistro and Trattoria till the current owners awoke it in 1999 from its Snow-White sleep and gave the house a massive makeover
inside and modernisation of the entire technical installation such as heating, water & electricity, heat-insulating windows and changed it with much loving care for the detail from a restaurant into an extraordinary residential building .
The house has to a great extent a facade of natural stones and is partly covered with ivy which not only gives it a really nice romantic look but additional climatic insulation as well.
The total size of the property is about 1500sqm and it offers easy access onto a municipal road for cars and even light trucks. Under the house is an open garage space for 5 - 6 cars.
The land site has five different terrace levels, mostly with natural stone walls and the whole property is fenced in. The garden is home to two big Eucalyptus trees as well as a cherry, a fig and a plum tree plus nearby several chestnuts trees. During the summer months you can indulge your 360° life.... , enjoying breakfast in the morning sun on the morning terrace, and move on for lunch to the main terrace. Then you have the chance to get grilled by the midday sun on the specific sun terrace or hide in the shade for a nap.
In the afternoon you can move on to the evening terrace
and watch, while sipping a glass of Aperitivo, the sundown and enjoy the stunning view to the Ligurian Alps, which are part of the French/ Italian Sea Alps mountain chain.
The house is located a bit outside on a hill but still within walking distance of the idyllic village.
A few steps away is an small pretty as a picture lake populated with turtles, fish and frogs, with a historical church built in the 14th century towering over it. Surrounded by unspoilt nature the area offers various possibilities for leisure activities such as walking, mountain hiking, cycling or motocross . And while enjoying the several beaches in summertime, in wintertime with just a 40 km km drive you can enjoy skiing in Ligurias most famous skiing resort Monesi di Triora or closeby in Limone in the province of Piemonte.
The little village with approx. 230 residents has a local food store for everyday needs, a Post office and offers also two restaurants, one of which is constantly voted as Top 5 ristorante in the area. A short 15 min drive down in the valley there are several shopping centres for everything you might need.
Imperia is the capital city of the province Imperia, which stretches out to the French border. Imperia is a city with a great many shopping and gastronomy possibilities and offers even two historic old town areas. Imperia has also two ports , home to many international luxury yachts. Both harbours are a very popular for nightlife with night bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours in abundance.
Imperia is very conveniently located with direct access to the Autostrada highway. If you fancy exclusive shopping you arrive quickly in the fashionable
