Our horse loves his work and best of all when doing a range of different things within his weekly routine.
Sadly we don't have time at present to give him the variety and frequency of exercise that he prefers.
He has always enjoyed and had an aptitude for flatwork and dressage, and he responds well to steadily working towards new goals. He is having regular lessons with Marion Bush who continues working along the Andrew Murphy lines he is familiar and comfortable with. He also has a super jump, although he has not done a lot of this with us.
He loves hacking out in company, and is good in traffic; he does sometimes lack confidence when hacking alone.
He is an affectionate and handsome large lightweight cob, 18 years young, and has been with us since age 5.
Due to our lack of time in recent years, he has not been there and done it all before, and we are trying to keep together an arrangement which includes progression in his work, which he so enjoys.
There is a 25m x 60m school on site (but no floodlights).
Dependent on ground and field conditions, there are fields which can be ridden round, and access to a quiet lane for road hacking.
We are looking for a competent, confident and experienced adult rider who would like to do a variety of things with him and who enjoys schooling.
Someone who will join in progressing with him, have a regular lesson (every few weeks) with our instructor, and make some input into his care each time.
