This delightful piece of history has the full provenance on the inside of the lid.
It originally contained 72 1" signal cartridges green for use in very pistols.
The box was made in 1967 and stocked in 1968.
For you collectors this will be a lovely piece to any collection, measuring 12" long, 6" wide, and 7 1/4 " high. It is one of the larger military ammo boxes, 1960s vintage. Heavy gauge steel with hinged and locking lid. Locks air and watertight. Army brown with yellow stencilling on one side, and one end describing the original contents.
This is a used ammo box in very good condition. Some rust and some wear. Lids closes tightly and hinges are aligned. No dings or dents. Just a history "If only it could talk!"
