I will either post with the retention document free of charge or if you worry about paying before receiving the retention cert we can meet so we can exchange the payment for the document personally. You can check that the retention document is genuine and you can call the dvla, they will confirm that it is on retention. you can see a photo of the document, obviously with the plate REF No covered up. upon payment I will give you the REF No and the plate is yours and you can transfer it to your vehicle straight away online, it only takes a few mins.There is no fee for this, I have paid a fee to put the plate on the retention certificate. The No plate is a suffix style issued in 1981 which means it can be assigned to practically any car on the road today.
