Advert Description

We are delighted to be able to offer this elegantly shaped Edwardian tub chair in mahogany. It has back and side splats and turned arm front supports and splayed back legs. The overall design has an art deco feel about it. It is in perfect structural condition e.g. tight joints with no evidence of past structural wood repairs, woodworm and an excellent patina. The original seat is likely to have been cane but at the moment has upholsters webbing tacked in place. The chair is usable in present condition with the addition of a close fitting cushion or alternatively the seat could be fully restored in time.
Overall Dimensions:
Overall Height 720mm
Height to Seat: 400mm
Seat Width Back: 370mm
Seat Width Front: 550mm
This much in demand chair design dates from circa 1910 and would grace any corner area. This is truly a lovely item. The frame is sturdy and has no wobbles.
As with any vintage furniture, it shows signs of use but this is due to its age and intended use.
All of our items are cleaned, oiled and polished, prior to despatch. We also bubble wrap all of items for delivery, which minimises the risk of damage in transit.
Our delivery cost is based on the Parcelforce express 48 service (this can be upgraded at your request) but viewing and collection from CO9 can be arranged by appointment. Alternatively we can deliver direct to you using our own service - please contact us for a quote.
