My copy of Jeremy Houghton-Brown and Vincent Powell-Smith's standard text on Managing A Successful Yard, required reading on most equine courses and essential reading for BHS, NVQ, as well as degree courses.
I used this one for my eq.sports science degree, mostly for the facilities module.
Excellent condition, no dog-ears, markings, scribble, notes, highlights etc, all very clean. Very minor shelf-wear to cover corners.
I bought this new, because I got very bored and frustrated that every single copy of this book was permanently out of stock in the library. Once you get past Fresher's Week, and get given your first essay assignment, you realise that pretty much every book you need to cite references from is always out. It doesn't matter how quick you are, other students always seem to get there first! Tutors are always deeply unimpressed with scant references, and will give higher marks for work submitted with as many refs as you can manage to include.
Don't let your coursework essay marks suffer through lack of this book being available to you. Get your own copy :)
Bargain price. Listing this as second-hand, but it's pretty much As New.
Tons of equine sports science, equestrianism, riding, competition etc and BHS books still to list, so if you're after anything in particular, feel free to message me and I'll check to see if I still have a copy from my various courses. Also lots on natural horsemanship, plus various items of tack, rider clothing, horse clothing, boots, rugs, etc. Happy to reduce prices for bundles of books, etc.
Please see the photos for a fuller visual description. Any questions, just ask :)
Happy to post, with payment by PayPal or direct bank transfer, or cash on collection equally welcomed. We’re midway between Huntingdon and Peterborough in NE Cambs.
More than happy to put extra purchases into same parcel to reduce over-all postage/ delivery costs, so feel free to check out my vast array of other items on here, using the "View All Nicci’s Ads” link on this page.
Having a massive clear-out of a diverse range of stuff, including science degree and BHS level equestrian books, arts degree drama books, antique books and maps, ladies and gents clothing and footwear, horsey kit, tack, various collectables, jewellery, kitchenalia, antiques, bags, more books, furniture, curtains, cushions, an old feather bolster, lamps, comics, stationery and tech stuff, leather goods.....we’re planning to downsize, so I really do have to have the most enormous clear out. My loss will be everyone else’s gain!
Multiple purchases will naturally be more likely to get offers accepted where applicable, obvs :)
Thanks for reading my ad, and I hope to hear from you soon!
