I have for sale hatching eggs from my group of large fowl Buff and Chocolate Orpington's. All of the males and females are unrelated and are good examples of the breed, with rounded ball like shapes, and very little leg visible below the feathers. You should hatch a mix of chocolate, black and buff chicks, although this cannot be guaranteed as they all run together in one group - you may just hatch one or two of the colours.
Fertility was tested on 16th February with 90% of eggs being fertile.
Orpington's are gentle giants, and need plenty of space to roam around due to their size. They are generally very friendly and inquisitive birds.
All the parent birds are fed on top quality Verselle Laga show breeders pellets and are wormed twice a year.
The eggs will be no more than three days old when posted out and are sent in specially designed polystyrene boxes. There are two options for postage, first class signed for or special delivery (which means the eggs are handled seperately and are generally better handled). I only post eggs Monday to Thursday unless you specifically request otherwise, as it is best not to leave them sat around in the post system over the weekend.
It is very important to let your eggs settle once then arrive, by resting them pointed end down for 24-48 hours in a cool place.
I am afraid that I do not accept returns and cannot offer any guarantee of fertility due to the handling of the postage and the wide range in quality of incubators available.
I also have a selection of other breeds available as follows:
£2 each egg
Easter Egger Hybrid (will lay a blue/green egg)
Blue Orpington bantams
£1.50 each egg
Silkie bantams in White, Blue and Partridge
