I have made a very reluctant decision to sell my cob Elmo. I have owned him for a short time and due to circumstances I need to find him a forever home.
He is a forward going smart cob who in the righ hands would do so much more in other disciplines.
I bought him for a happy hack and for pleasure rides. This is something he really enjoys but he has so much more to give I feel.
I bought him from a dealer who bought him from Ireland and I do not want to sell him back through a dealer yard. Since he has been with me we have just gone on happy hacks as far as 10 miles. I would say he would be suited to someone wanting that next horse to start to have fun on. He hasn’t been schooled much at all. I don’t have facilities to continue this so we have always just got on the roads and done our own thing. He goes out alone and in company and he is great in all traffic farm and wagons. I trust him on busy roads. He can be a little spooky a bag in a hedge which a grumble in the voice sorts.
He needs someone who is firm but also quiet in the seat and confident. I class myself as a confident novice and I have never been worried about riding this horse.
He has really pulled my
Heart strings and due to house move away from home where he lives I can not spend the time with him he needs.
He is good to hot shod, dentist and vet. He is up to date with his tetanus jabs.
I have had a new saddle fitted and bought for him 4 months ago and I will consider selling at extra cost as it’s a Kent masters leather saddle.
He is great on the ground and to catch and brush and clip and bath.
He has been wintered outside and stable when really bad weather and he was great to stable.
He really is a lovely guy and I am open to more questions and viewings.
He won’t be going anywhere unless I find the best of homes for this boy!
