born 1/5/14 (4 yrs old) to make approx 13.1
Well proportioned, nicely marked, plenty of feather
I have broken Betty in gently since February and so far she's taken everything in her stride. Now hacking out nicely - forward going, trusting and willing, she loves her work (in fact she dislikes the turn for home!). I feel totally safe on her and bring her in from the field bareback in just a headcollar. Trained bitless and with snaffle bit and responds well to voice commands.
Will suit small adult, mother/daughter share or ride/drive (is a natural at long reining). Ready to bring by the right person - doesn't feel or act green but hasn't been taught canter or jumping yet so still a project pony.
5* home essential for this fab little mare - if she was bigger I'd definitely keep her but I'm 5'10" and prefer my stirrups a bit longer!
*** easy to catch - in fact wants to be caught and loves doing stuff
*** unfazed by traffic, farm machinery, trains, chainsaws etc - lives on a farm next to the railway. Also walks over plastic sheeting and into water without hesitating
*** lives out all year unrugged in a mixed herd with big horses and miniature shetlands, good doer
*** excellent feet, currently going barefoot and has recently been trimmed
*** will happily stand still until asked to move and ties patiently
*** just walks straight into the trailer and travels well
*** has had a 9yr old and a toddler on her back too
*** good gate etiquette ridden and on the ground - backs up and turns to voice command
I have lots more photos and videos
