This iMac is a mid-2010 LED 27-inch model. The configured processor is a 2.93GHz quad-core i7 processor. The RAM was originally 4GB but has been upgraded to 12GB. The operating system has been upgraded to the latest (macOS High Sierra - 10.13). Due to the weight of the computer I would rather not post it. I am willing to meet within a sensible distance of Bury St Edmunds if necessary. If postage is required then the approximate price will be £35 in addition to the iMac.
The back has the following ports: 1x gigabit ethernet; 1x mini DisplayPort; 1x Firewire 800; 4x USB 2.0; 1x headphone; and 1x line in. I am including my adapter for mini display port to DVI so you can connect an external monitor with a max resolution of 2560x1600.
The configured graphics card is a 2.8GHz ATI Radeon HD 5750 with 1GB of GDDR5 memory. This is sufficient for most games but very new games may not run at max settings.
The original hard disk has failed so I replaced it with a 2TB Western Digital drive. I am also including the suction pads necessary to remove the screen should you want to install an SSD (not for the faint of heart). I have done this in the past and performance improves drastically if it is used for the operating system.
More general information about this model is available at the Apple website if you search the internet for "imac Z0JP".
I am selling this computer because my needs require a much higher spec machine.
WARNING: This device previously had an issue with the backlight randomly switching off. I have re-soldered the connector for one of the display cables and the issue has not occurred since. However, while I believe the issue is resolved, I am unable to guarantee this fix or the lifetime of the replacement hard disk. For this reason I will not offer any refunds if these become an issue.
A workaround for the display switching off (offered just in case) is to setup a hot corner to put the display to sleep. If the backlight goes off you can reduce the brightness and then use the hot corner to wake the display. But as mentioned above I believe this issue to be resolved.
