Hi and welcome,
Offered for sale is my much loved 7.5 ton Iveco Tector 75e17 horsebox. Only for sale due to no longer having any horses or ponies.
It has been owned by myself for almost 3 years but I have known this horsebox for much longer than that due to it previously being owned by a friend. This lorry has not had a hard life and has never had any expense spared. I am a commercial vehicle mechanic by trade and somewhat obsessive about keeping vehicles to a very high standard. It has being washed off after every outing, polished regularly and has spent the majority of its life parked inside.
The lorry passed its MOT last month with no advisories therefore having the best part of 12 months remaining. I also have many previous MOT certificates and various bills and receipts ect for its service history. I also have 2 sets of keys.
The lorry is stalled for either 3 ponies or 4 horses however can be rearranged to suit your needs.
Lovely living area including seating, gas hobs, sink with tap, fridge etc and also a toilet room, interior heaters etc. We (family of 4) have slept away in the lorry quite a few times when we have travelled down country and it is a very comfortable place to be. Could possibly sleep 6.
To say this lorry is mechanically good is rather an understatement. In the last 12 months it has had the following (mainly genuine Iveco parts) -
Front and rear brake discs and pads (and also genuine rear dust covers)
x2 rear brake chambers (quality Knorr-bremse)
x2 Front leaf springs
x4 New rear Hankook block tread tyres (Fronts are very good Hankooks)
New crankshaft sensor
New Engine sump
Full service. All oils and filters
New full track rod bar with o/s and n/s track rod ends
Full new drag link
New A.B.S sensors
New A.B.S rear rings
x2 New shock absorbers
New rear cross member
x4 New batteries at M.O.T time last year with wiring to charge leisure side from engine and fused. all by a professional auto-electrician
Full new side step, frame and plating
Various sections of framework ect engineered and fitted properly ensuring it is 100 % solid underneath with no requirement for any future welding or issues.
Fully undersealed last year using high quality product ( costing almost £600 for product alone)
The list really does go on. In the last 14 months I will have spent in the region of £5000 on parts alone on this horsebox. If I have noticed a potential problem for the future I replaced or repaired with top quality parts to ensure I could jump in it tomorrow and go to the other end of the country if so required. Not your usual rubbish, a very reliable horsebox that should give many years of hassle free service to come.
Although I am absolutely confident in the genuine quality of this horsebox please be aware that it is 14 years old and therefore is not 'brand new'.
It does have scratches and marks as I would think you may expect with a vehicle of this type.
There is also some 'dip' in the very middle of the ramp. It has not bothered me loading or unloading but I do want to mention it. The 'horses' stickers also look a little bit tatty but could be easily and inexpensively replaced should you so wish.
All in all I would say that this is a rare example of a well looked after horsebox offered for sale at a sensible price.
You would be more than welcome to come and view and test drive the lorry but please bring proof of insurance before we could venture onto the road. (We do have a private lane and small yard where you would be welcome to drive without insurance or I would be happy to drive). For any questions please do not hesitate to contact me and I will get back to you as soon as I possibly can. Many more pictures available upon request.
Will be sad to see this lorry go but seems a shame to see it stood around when it doesn't look like we will be having any more horses in the near future.
