Reformed 3 bed traditional terrace town house with small roof terrace, perfect for holiday or permanent home. It has been ours for 12 years but only used for 7-8 weeks per year due to u.k work constraints. It was rewired and re-plumbed, some walls were removed to make it more open and a new kitchen, bathroom and utility was fitted as well as replacement double glazed windows and new door to the roof terrace. Floors were also tiled throughout. The downstairs is mostly open plan,with living/dining room-with wood burner stove, fitted kitchen and a separate utility room and bathroom. The 3 bedrooms are upstairs with stairs to the roof terrace leading up from the largest bedroom. One of the bedrooms does not have an external window and although this is not unusual in old Spanish houses we only use it for storage. Likewise you get some rough wall finish in these older houses.On street parking is available on a first come basis (street is narrow). General parking is about 2 minutes walk away.
Novelte is an inland Valencian village with basic amenities, 2 bars, farmacia, butchers, bakers, general store, small hotel and a small sport centre.
It is about 2K from the historic town of Xativa, which has shops, bars, restaurants, football stadium and even an old bull ring (now refurbished and used for events - claim to fame is that when it re-opened after the refurbish Elton John performed there) everything you need if you want to live in Spain permanently. Xativa also has a bus station, mainline train station with frequent trains to Valencia and beyond.
We chose Novetle because of the ease of getting into Xativa for all of those facilities, you can walk or drive in (easy, cheap metered on street parking) whereas if you live in busy Xativa and have a car it's a pain to find permanent parking
