I am selling 2 places for a hiking weekend in the Swiss Alps. Happy to sell separately.
From 2nd to 5th August 2018.
Flights not included.
You will be staying in the cute village of Gstaad and will be hiking with a group of keen, but not extreme hikers.
The hikes are led by an experienced guide who is a lot of fun.
Your stay will be in a state of the art hostel sharing an en-suite room with only 4 people in total, including you.
3 nights hostel stay, breakfast, packed lunches and guided hike included.
Here are details from the organiser:
The Swiss Alps are a must do before you die and Gstaad offers you an opportunity to see stunning views of Mont Blanc and Matterhorn with some home comforts you won't get elsewhere.
Gstaad is just a village. The locals – and there are fewer of them than there are cows – still work to the seasons, taking cattle to pasture in summer and gathering them in when the weather gets cold. They smoke pipes and make their own cheese.
WARNING! This hike takes place in the Swiss Alps. If you suffer from vertigo or is afraid of heights, this is not for you.
Meet us at Heathrow airport or make your own way.
Fly to Geneva and transfer to Gstaad and meet your new friends at your accommodation. If you arrive early enough, you will have a chance to stroll the town square and visit a local cafe chocolatier or eat some cheese.
Make sure to arrive at Geneva 19:30 the latest to catch the last train transfer to Gstaad, otherwise that will be a very expensive transfer.
FRIDAY - Hike from Glacier 3000
We will start this hike by taking the Gondola to Glacier 3000 then crossing the peak walk by Tissot. It connects the smaller peak (View Point) with the 5 meters higher main peak (Scex Rouge) and takes all guests to incredible heights. The bridge offers a stunning view of the Alps: Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
Following this treat, we will follow in one of the beautiful hikes trails, the Reusch -Scex Rouge trail, with breathtaking views and a chance to see adorable groundhogs.
We will hike up a beautiful trail with water cascades in the background. This hike will test your nerves for height as we walk on via ferratas.
At the top, we stop at a local cheese making farm, where we watch local cheese been made and try a variety of it. Halfway we stop for hot lunch of local cuisine, made with local cheese.
Either head back home early or stick around for one last easy trek in Saanen town.
High-quality hostel with very comfy bunk beds.
If you would rather pay to stay in a proper hotel room, just across from our hostel, send us a message.
Once the deposit of £28+ PayPal fees has been paid we will contact you with further details.
