FINAL REDUCTION! This is a dream wedding dress by Dizzie Lizzie.
(Designer of one of Katie Price’s gowns - not my inspiration but interesting fact!!) The gown is ethereal and utterly stunning.
I particularly fell for it because it encapsulated everything that I was after and wasn't sure was possible - traditional and romantic and yet somehow boho and vintage looking at the same time.
On the day, I wore a headpiece with a long veil (veil is also available if desired - please ask).
The dress was a size 12 but (as detailed below) altered to also fit size 10.
Due to the lace up bodice, there is leeway in the sizing.
It is a bespoke gown that has been altered to enhance the beauty of it.
Amanda (designer - most fantastic woman by the way!) added a halterneck option made with the same lace as the dress (as seen in the pictures) that can be poppered in and out of the top of the bodice to change the look from sleeveless to halter; the back of the halter neck is beautifully detailed with little covered buttons and a diamond shape - simply stunning with hair up.
As you can see, it has a bodice with lace up detailing at the back.
Amanda also cinched the waist by removing excess material to maximise the contrast between waist and hip and the result was spectacular; I had endless comments on the silhouette of the dress and my 'slender' waist.
The bodice has sequin and lace detailing which sparkles when the light catches it.
Some of the same detail runs down into the skirt in a sort of trailing fashion.
It has a full skirt with several layers and beautiful train.
It comes with a hoop underskirt. I wore the dress for the day and evening and there were some inevitable marks and scuffs from trailing along the ground etc.
However, I have had the dress professionally dry cleaned at a high cost and it is in very good condition.
There are still some minor marks at the very bottom of the inside of the underskirt but these cannot be seen and are inconsequential.
I was in the fortunate position (at the time!) of being able to afford the luxury of spending freely on my dress and - in the final analysis - the dress cost in the region of £1600 (I have the receipts!).
I absolutely adore this dress and had the most memorable, magical and wonderful wedding - I hope that another bride can enjoy it as much as I did.
I am now very happily married! It would feel like a travesty for it to be kept in storage forevermore when it is so gorgeous!
I feel like this lovely dress deserves another wonderful day.
Please get in touch if you feel it could be the dress for you.
