For Auction is my Grey Mk4 Ford Transit Camper-van.
We have used this van for about 4 years. Unfortunately we don't use it often enough and it has become a garden ornament that I still tax insure and get MOT's on.
The van has 10 months MOT and has traveled less than 10 miles since its last MOT
We have used this van for festivals in the past and have traveled from Manchester to Leeds festival and when T in the park was on we traveled the 650 odd round trip up to Balado in Kinross and to Strathallan.
This van was professionally converted by a company call EMC long before it came into my hands. It features a rock and roll double Bed, a three ring hob a grill a fridge, a sink with tap and pumped cold water, a large on board clean water tank, 12 volt and 240 vault lighting, electric hook up with battery charge, leisure battery, 240 volt sockets front passenger swivel chair, and a sky light with a two way, three speed fan that will extract or blow which is very handy for this weather.
The van is a Diesel. I am told the engine is a banana engine which are supposedly hard wearing.
Small diesel leak from the engine if it has been stood for a while. My local garage says it is the seals that are dry. It stops after it has had a good run.
Wheel arches have been replaced on three of the corners but could do with the filler sanding down properly. Spare arch for the 4th will be thrown in.
The two rear doors have been replaced with white ones as the old ones were perforated and needed re-skinning. You are free to have the old ones if wanted as the inner doors are fine its just the outer skin that needs replacing
The rear bumper is for a MK5 and really needs replacing with a MK4 bumper.
No power steering though it has never bothered me. You just need to remember to be moving whilst you are steering, as it is really easy to steer once it is on the move and has a great turning circle.
There are a few odd bits of rust around the van and the front steps on both sides could do with attention but they are not an MOT fail so no rush in getting them sorted. The drivers door is also perforated near the glass. this has been filled but he filler has now cracked and it needs doing again. The bottom of the sliding side door has also had a little filler.
Overall this is a cracking van that can be used straight away and improved as and when you need to. Its ideal for festivals, fishing, motorsport, camping holidays. A great little home from home.
Please contact me if you want to view it. I would recommend viewing, particularly the rusty bits.
I will not ship abroad and those with less than 10 feedback please contact me before bidding.
