Genuine enquiries only please for my rather special boy. I bred him with the intention of eventing upto 1* - 2* . But since then we have had another baby and I have lost the drive(and the time!) to compete at such a high level ! He’d ultimately become wasted with me.
Oscar's movement is breathtaking. He is balanced and very straight , no dishing etc . He has an active , loose walk with plenty of over track , the trot is ‘big and floaty’ with elasticity, an active hock and good extension in front. Oscar’s canter is balanced and rhythmical, you forget that you’re sitting on a newly backed three year old.
He has a forward thinking , inquisitive brain that will enable him to excel at eventing , showjumping or pure dressage. As well as having these wonderful qualities , Oscar’s best quality is his nature . He is a “lap pony” , he’s the kind of horse that would lie on a rug in front of the fire with the dogs! Completely unflappable , will stand all day to be groomed and fussed. My children handle him , dogs run around his feet , tractors drive within feet of him! He is worth his weight in diamonds never mind gold ! Such a sweet , sweet lovable boy!
Oscar would be a fantastic contender for BS age classes. Or an extremely exciting prospect for 2019 BYEH!
Oscar has been well handled since birth. I've taken him into rivers , stepped up and down stairs , gone over ditches , walked over poles , between scary fillers etc. He has been walked out on the roads and is fine in traffic .
He is currently on a holiday after being professionally backed (still in at night to be fed and fussed!). He has been level headed and sensible with all that we've asked of him so far! During his time at the trainer he was in 24/7 and stayed sane , even after a few days off . He enjoys hacking on main roads , forest tracks etc and likes to be at the front not needing ‘nannied’ in the slightest. Equally , he will walk behind another horse quietly. He is not spooky or silly in the slightest . We loose schooled him once and he jumped a metre oxer with good technique. Out of interest we had him pop around a little course of coloured poles and fillers . He was sane and sensible , not phased in the slightest . He will stand patiently whilst you mount and dismount. Both in the arena and out on a hack .
Oscar Is upto date with all of his vaccinations, worming , farrier. He is hot shod and not fussed. He has very good feet . I had his teeth done in July ‘18 and he was very well behaved with both the gag and the power tools. Never sick or sorry .
Gelded at 5months. He's used to all traffic , livestock , dogs and children!
Oscar Lives in or out, either in company, or by himself. He doesn't fuss if he is left alone whilst another horse is away. Loads and travels well on a trailer or lorry. Always easy to catch. I've ran clippers over him and he was ok . Will stand tied up and wait patiently .
This is a Fabulous opportunity to buy an outstanding young horse at a very reasonable price. He has been started properly and is ready to school on in the Spring with BYEH / BS age classes in mind.
No time wasters as this is a hard sale. Lots of time and love has gone into this boy as he's not a youngster who's been produced to be sold on.
I am in no rush to sell this horse , obviously whilst he are his continuing education it will be reflected in his price .
