i have advertised Azure oh full loan but after two weeks of hesitation about letting him go after owning him 13 years, I think I would prefer for him to be on part loan to stay where he is in Daresbury, Cheshire.
I have two other horses and have had to move them to a full livery yard as they are Andalusian stallions, and it was the only place that would accept them. So although I’ve really tried, I just can’t afford three horses on full livery hence the need to have some help now. The yard they are on is STUNNING - small with friendly happy people and a courtyard shape with insulated stables and great facilities such as horse walker.
Azure (nick name Azzie) is the sweetest, kindest and easiest horse to handle. He picks his own feet up when you want to pick his feet out and understands a lot of English! Will lunge himself around you, if you shout canter he will canter! He is very sweet and gentle, needs someone who is also the same as he can be nervous of people but is pretty bold out hacking and forward going. Always wants to please. Needs cuddles and he will show you lots of affection back. He’s a one in a million horse with no side to him and easier than your dog to handle.
Real show off in the show ring and has had a few wins in riding club shows, but nothing high level. He’s very well schooled and good at shoulder in, half pass, laterals, collected canter and changes. He loved group lessons at the previous yard and we did some dressage tests too. These days he’s happier being out on hacks. He would still love the occasional show, but I don’t want him to be ridden in a ménage every day as he is getting older and prefers his hacking. He will hack out alone or in company, prefers to hack in company as he can be nervous of tractors. I just get off and lead him past or pull him in to a driveway whilst mounted and he watches them go past knowing he’s safe. Won’t ever turn and bolt though. Puts his trust in you and loves A one to one bond. I am there every day and will always ride out with you - would suit someone who is keen to ride out a few times a week without all the mucking out etc!
He has a beautiful collected canter and a big trot, superb paces.
Not a novice ride as he does like a gallop and can be strong so he needs a confident rider. Equally though, if he knows you just expect a nice collected canter he won’t push it.
Serious enquiries only please! He’s stabled in Daresbury, near Warrington, Cheshire.
