We are advertising our family's much loved Jaguar E-Type which has been my father's for over 20 years.
This is the first time the car has been on the market since new with my father being only the second owner and therefore comes with provenance. My father has owned many classic Jaguars for over forty years, including an XK120, XK150 drop-head (originally owned by Lady Lister and sold by my father to Beaulieu), an XK150 hard top and a MkII (concourse). He was also the Jaguar Area Representative in the North West for over thirty years.
The car is in very good, drivable condition with great care taken to keep everything as original as possible (evident by the original waxoyl coating under the bonnet) and with necessary work being carried out on some areas of the car when needed.
Most recent restoration work has been a new hood (for which we have the chrome strip), new tyres and wheels (originally the car had V12 wheels at the original owner's request), so the correct wheels have now been fitted), some body-panel restoration (using cellulose paint, in keeping with the original specification) and a rolling programme of engine maintenance, as would be expected.
The car will need new carpets and the leather upholstery would benefit from a nourishing leather treatment.
Please note that this very special E-Type is not in concourse condition for a reason. It has been my father's daily vehicle during the spring and summer months. It is as honest an E-Type as can be found and a full description/photos/video of the car can be provided to interested parties.
We do have the vehicle advertised elsewhere and reserve the right to remove this advert if necessary.
We are fully aware of the rare nature and value of this beautiful Jaguar E-Type, and so we are inviting enquiries and educated offers from serious buyers only.
