It is now possible to view the doors by arrangement.
This is the first of two similar sets of 5 doors that I am selling.
These doors were salvaged from a pair of semi-detached houses that were built in around 1935. They have been professionally stripped to remove the original paint/varnish but they still need to be sanded. They should be suitable for staining and varnishing or painting and will create a great period look when fully restored.
The structure of the doors is good quality, knot-free solid pine. The infill ply panels have an attractive wavy grain.
These doors are in generally good condition with no splits or warping
All the doors in this set were originally fitted with rim latches which means that the structure of the doors is undamaged by mortices, hence avoiding the need for any awkward and time-consuming repairs. They have only ever been hung once and hence only have the rebates/holes for the original hinges, rim latches and knobs.
Dimensions: Approx 1960mm high x 760mm wide x 34mm thick - Note that there are minor variations in height and width of each door.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like further information (I have further photos of each door) or if you would like to inspect the doors prior to purchase.
Door Furniture: I also have the original rim latches and round Bakelite door knobs available that I have restored at £25 per set in addition to the cost of the doors.
