Beautiful 16.1hh ID x TB dark bay mare, at 20 years she’s still full of beans and has plenty of miles left in the tank; I just can’t give her the love and attention she deserves anymore and it’s not fair on her, she deserves more than to spend her time stuck in a field.
I’d love for her to stay at her current yard in Barkby as she’s so settled there (over 10 years at yard) but know that’s a big ask so ideally within Leicestershire but would let her go within the East Midlands for the right person, so long as I can come and visit her whenever I can.
She’s a very good girl but not a novice ride as she can be forward going, fun but not silly. She isn’t your typical TB as you could quite happily leave her for a week or so, get back on and she’d be absolutely fine. Happy to hack alone or in company; hasn’t hacked on the roads for the last few years due to my personal choice as we have off-road hacking at current yard but has always been safe and good in traffic (kept on farm so not phased by farm traffic). Also good with gates.
Has been out of regular work since last Winter due to a tendon injury but is now sound and ready to come back into work. Have tried to get her back to fitness again but with a toddler in toe and lack of time it hasn’t been easy so she’d still need bringing back into work sensibly but does enjoy being in work.
She was diagnosed with Cushings in Jan 2019 but this is now under control with daily medication - I will be providing this at my expense so you need not worry as it doesn’t affect her in any way day-to-day.
If you’ve got this far and are still interested then you would be incredibly lucky to have her. She is the softest, gentlest mare I know and really does give her all, perfect stable manners and on the ground, to shoe/catch/clip etc.
She has been my fur baby since she was 18 months old so it’s paramount we find the right fit, she must be loved and spoilt - she’ll come with full wardrobe and tack. Loan agreement to be signed.
