An exact perspective view, a Hogarthian type print "from a drawing
taken on the spot"
by David Ogbourne detailing with great accuracy the ceremony and procession of the occasion of an old English custom of a "Flitch of Bacon" presented to married couples who celebrated their marriage for a year and a day.
This picture shows the delivery of the Flicht on 20th June 1751.
The carved oak carrying chair is now preserved in little Dunmow Priory.
