This vintage chair would suit someone who is looking for a restoration project and one using traditional re-upholstery methods. It is an old chair of unknown age. It is quite large. The dimensions are approximately the following:
At its widest point (end of arms) it measures 35 inch/89 cm W
Floor to top of seat back is 36 inch/91.5cm H
Depth of seat is 27 inch/69 cm D
Leg height is 8 inch/20 cm H
The back is reclined slightly, not upright.
The legs are wooden; turned at the front and unturned at the back. All have castors.
Condition wise structurally the chair is sound and sturdy. The seat cushioning has deteriorated over time and now has a big hole. One of the arms has started to wear similarly and fabric coming apart elsewhere.
If this chair was restored to its former glory it would be a quality piece of furniture and could command a value over £500.
