Bsc/MSc herpetologist and zoological conservationist and long-term hobbyist breeder and rescuer of monitor / varanus species, with plenty of spare room and some vivs to take on the sadly so often no longer wanted/able to be kept; larger lizard species.
***(Currently re-homed 2 Nile Monitors and a Bosc, so we are limited for the next 4-6 weeks to smaller species, or maybe another Bosc at a push if temporary accomodation can be supplied)*** 20/03/21
Just as for the next month or two we will be working on diet and stabilizing the latest rescues before rehoming. If you are still in need feel free to message, and I will look into trusted other individuals in my contacts who could potentiallyt help you.
Predominantly I've rehomed, rehabilitated and placed Boscs, White Throats, Blue Tails and Niles (and some other medium-large species) in zoological collections through ZSL and other animal parks for their reptile exhibits.
I have a keen interest in rare tree /arboreal and the smaller dwarf species including timid fellas like timorensis. Have kept, reared and bred just over 800+ species of amphibian, reptile and insect.
Happy to offer some compensation if the animal shows good health / setup is provided or required and can arrange collection if required.
I would require lots of info on the animal origin, captive or wild / papers for any necessary and and good history on the health of the specimen, and what has led you to decide to seek rehoming.
Shall aim to reply to most messages but please don't waste time. Not here for freebies and to flip animals, just all about the love here.
I'm afraid that I do not move monitors into private homes at present as this hobby is to prevent them circulating the captive market, strictly Working with zoological institutions,
Thank you for reading.
