Financial contribution is required, as are regular lessons with onsite instructor, who also rides her.
3 days a week.
Purdey is a forward going sensitive mare that needs an experienced, quiet and well balanced rider. She is a very talented mare, that can produce some lovely work. She is 100% to handle from the ground.
I’ve owned her since she was 6 and she has had a few injuries in that time including kissing spine, which have all been managed.
She’s currently going and looks probably the best she ever has. However it is very important she has consistent work, maintains muscle and weight to protect these areas. Full history will be given to any prospective loaner. She is 100% sound right now and has been for a long while now. She is able to jump but this need to be worked up too in lessons. Jumping will also need to be limited and kept at reasonable heights. However plenty of pole work is very good for her!
We have competed BE prior to injuries and have done limited unaffiliated eventing, dressage and show jumping since, this is an option for the right loaner.
She is very good to hack alone or with company. There is always someone on the yard to hack with. She does take confidence from the rider and does not spook or is in anyway naughty. Occasionally she can get forward going but never silly, for this reason she does need a confident and experienced rider.
To stay on current yard in Fradley near
Lichfield, Staffordshire. Facilities include indoor and outdoor arena, jumping field with XC fences in summer and opportunity for trips out and competing on yard lorry for the right person.
Lots going on on the yard to get involved with. She is currently on full livery so no jobs to do, turn up, groom and ride.
No time wasters or novice riders please. Would suit someone who has previously competed.
Would not suit someone coming straight from a riding school. Information on previous riding experience needed before any viewings arranged.
