Mid 20th century carved hardwood Ashanti stool circa 1960.
Traditional Ghanian ceremonial stool made from a single piece of wood. Shaped seat with solid carved stem, standing on a staged base. These are a Male and Female shaped stool mostly used at a wedding ceremony.
Polished, ready for use as a stool or a side table.
Will sell separately .
These particular Ashanti Stools are in excellent condition. The female stool has a slight chip in the seat area but doesn't effect the seat. There are also a variety of natural imperfections that come along with a hand carved piece. These a rare fine to have this both together as intended.
These were given to us by a friend at the time of our wedding . They are from a pet and smoke free home .
These would have to be collected
