Hi There!
We at Golden Wings Aviaries have a small flock of Silkies and Showgirl chickens.
This breed are incredibly friendly and we have chosen our cockerel for his placid,
gentle nature and quiet, infrequent crow.
We do not allow any aggressive birds to stay in our flock and so all our babies have the gentle and friendly nature's of the parents.
This listing is for HATCHING EGGS ONLY.
We may have chick's available so please enquire for details as we often have a waiting list.
Eggs are £3 each/ £18 per 6. Postage is £7 first class in a poly box.
Due to the nature of the showgirl gene, there is a 50/50 chance of hatching showgirls or silkies however our flock tends to hatch more showgirls.
Our birds are fed on garvo as well as corn, budgie seed (Genesis), veg chop, have regular supplements such as B12, calcium and mite and worm treatments (moxidectin) monthly. Which means our eggs are incredibly healthy and hatch strong babies.
We offer a fertility guarantee of 50% posted, if your fertility is less than this please reach out with photo proof of candled eggs to receive a replacement however we have hit 100% fertility at home during incubation.
Please note, we have 1 hen in our flock that is part of our satin project. Therefore there is a small chance of you getting an egg from our satin project hen, meaning that some babies may have smooth feathers instead of silkie.
We also allow collections in person.
