Looking for a gentle, kind and knowledgeable rider to loan my 15.2 warm-blood mare. I’m in Canada for the following year and need someone to keep Tee, 22, ridden (happy to revert to a share agreement when I’m back).
She’s 100% bomb-proof, sensible and looking for a quieter hacking life. She is the sweetest girl and will look after you, but no complete beginners please as a basic understanding of horse care and equine first aid will be expected.
Tee hacks alone and in company and lives out 24/7 in a field shared with a 7yr old cob and a donkey, with beautiful on and off road hacking available. I’ve mostly always ridden out with the cob’s owner and she would like this arrangement to carry on.
Responsibilities include feeding daily, seeing to the farrier and any vet visits for vaccine/illness. Also help with poo-picking and the occasionally help moving the electric fencing, pulling ragwort etc…These last duties will be shared with the other horse’s owner.
Financially: Tee’s costs are insurance, grazing, routine vaccinations feed and the farrier, which all amounts to a lot but I’m only looking for a £25 weekly contribution towards this as I’m happy to pay for the bulk of it.
I want her to stay in where she is, between Burford and Northleach (OX18)
